| WINNER -- 3rd place Orange County Fair 2005 -- Homes & Hobbies Dept., Recycled Materials, glassware. This fun cobalt glass vase reminds me of a ballerina with her bright yellow feathered tutu, fuschia sash with hematite hearts, and turquoise feathers. Shown 80% of actual size. $25
| WINNER -- 3rd place Orange County Fair 2004 -- Homes & Hobbies Dept., Recycled Materials, Boxes. This balsa wood box originally held tea bags. It's painted antique copper with bright design accents. Glass beads are epoxied onto the designs. Wooden beads serve as legs. The outside of the box lid is decorated with large chunks of flourite. Shown actual size. $35
| Here's an open view and the lid of the box on the left. I call these magic treasure boxes because they feel so special when I make them. Each box is one-of-a-kind and takes hours and hours to create. Although I make these as meticulously as possible, slight imperfections should be viewed as part of their charm. |

NEW BOX!!! This antique gold collector's piece was finished about a month ago. Because of the intense labor involved, I make only a few of these a year. Balsa wood tea box with denim wooden legs, and wooden "Cheerios" rings inlaid with authentic freshwater pearls. Hematite star, mother-of-pearl heart, glass millefiore and a hand-made copper coil whimsically decorate. Each side is slightly different. Shown life-size. $45
| The lid features additional glass millefiore and heart beads, copper coil, mother-of-pearl teardrop, bone Buddhist Wise Man face, two chunks of real turquoise, and faceted amethyst (immediately to the right of the painted moon.) All beads are epoxied, and I keep adding on treasures until the final piece feels perfect.
